EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

Summary

You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the Non-Nuclear Material and Work Packaging Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

• •You will be responsible for all non-nuclear material ordering to support fleet maintenance which includes but is not limited to the following: ship alterations, repairs, temporary equipment, test equipment, and substitute material.
• •You will ensure all aspects of the advanced and execution material ordering functions are both timely and cost effective to minimize work stoppages and effectively expend project budgets.
• •You will assess, interpret and analyze technical documents and plans including but not limited to Allowance Parts List, Technical Repair Standards, and/or other Planning Yard documentation to identify, recommend and strategically procure material.
• •You will review contracts and determine technically satisfactory material for end use applications.
• •You will provide material ordering data as required by FISC Contracting Department, prepare correspondence and/or proper documentation to facilitate non-standard purchases (i.e., sole source specification letter, proprietary statements).
• •You will analyze the non-nuclear material program effectiveness and execute recommendations for material process or procurement improvements.
• •You will monitor program compliance to environmental, nuclear, technical, safety, and maintenance program requirements and specifications.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector interpreting drawings and blueprints for systems and components to support material ordering; applying scheduling knowledge related to component ordering for production support. Education
