ESR Melter

Description

Union Electric Steel Corporation is seeking an ESR Melter candidate for our Erie, PA re-melting plant. This is an hourly position and applicants must be willing to work all shifts and weekends, as required.

Operate and maintain ESR equipment to produce high-quality steel ingots. Responsibilities include:

• •Monitoring melting process and adjusting parameters as needed
• •Preparing electrodes and slag for remelting
• •Ensuring cleanliness and chemical composition of steel
• •Troubleshooting issues with equipment or process
• •Maintaining accurate production records
• •Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of ESR equipment

Welding and Equipment Experience:

• •Flux core MIG welding experience ( preferred)
• •Arc-Air experience ( preferred)
• •Overhead crane and forklift operation experience (preferred)

Key Skills:

• •Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues
• •Attention to detail and quality control
• •Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• •Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment
