Field Business Development Manager

Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming & Colorado Region

Hybrid | Travel Required

EnerStar Solutions delivers integrated workforce housing, communications, power generation, logistics, containment, water, environmental, and site support solutions throughout North America.

  • We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Field Sales
  • Manager to expand EnerStar's market presence across Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado. This role is responsible for developing new customer relationships, growing existing accounts, increasing rental utilization, and driving profitable revenue growth.

What You'll Do

Grow Revenue

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across assigned territories

Develop relationships with drilling managers, superintendents, completions teams, operations managers, project managers, engineers, procurement professionals, and field decision makers

Increase rental utilization and day-rate revenue across multiple service lines

Execute strategic account growth plans for key clients

Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, industry events, and customer referrals

Build Strategic Relationships

Become a trusted advisor to customers

Understand customer challenges and recommend integrated solutions

Conduct site visits and customer meetings throughout the region

Maintain strong relationships with operators, contractors, suppliers, and industry partners

Represent EnerStar at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions

Manage Sales Process

Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline

Maintain accurate CRM documentation and forecasting

Create and deliver professional proposals and presentations

Collaborate with operations to ensure exceptional customer execution

Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Support Operational Growth

Work closely with district leadership and operations teams

Identify emerging market opportunities

Communicate customer needs and market intelligence

Support the launch of new services and equipment offerings

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you will:

Develop relationships with key operators and contractors throughout your territory

Build a robust opportunity pipeline

Increase rental utilization and profitable revenue growth

Create strategic growth plans for major accounts

Consistently exceed activity and performance expectations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

5+ years of oilfield, construction, industrial, energy services, equipment rental, communications, power generation, workforce housing, logistics, or related industry experience

3+ years of successful business development or outside sales experience

Demonstrated success generating new business and growing strategic accounts

Experience selling high-value service solutions rather than commodity products

Proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets

Skills

Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities

Strong negotiation and closing skills

Strategic thinking and territory development experience

Ability to influence decision makers at all organizational levels

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

CRM proficiency and pipeline management discipline

Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset

Preferred

Existing relationships within the Bakken, DJ Basin, Powder River Basin, or broader Rocky Mountain energy market

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Travel

60-75% regional travel

Regular customer visits across Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado

Occasional overnight travel required
