Your role & work environment

As a Financial Controller, you act as the financial sparring partner of the Private Banking business and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making, performance management and strategic ambitions.

You will join the Financial Controlling team, an international team of finance professionals, and work closely with the Private Banking business, local stakeholders and ING Group stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

Business partnering & performance management

Act as a trusted business partner to the Head of Private Banking and the management team.

• •Identify key business drivers, opportunities and risks to support decision-making.
• •Challenge the business while supporting strategic decision-making.

Financial planning, reporting & analysis

Drive the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes.

• •Contribute to the monthly analytical closing and performance analysis.
• •Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting.

Data, reporting & continuous improvement

Build and enhance management reporting and performance dashboards.

• •Transform complex financial data into clear and actionable insights and support stakeholders in leveraging data and reporting tools effectively.
• •Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives and develop new reporting capabilities related to Private Banking products and clients.

As a Financial Controller you will also need:

• •Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• •Minimum 3 years of experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A or Finance Business Partnering, preferably in the banking sector.
• •Strong understanding of banking products and financial performance drivers.
• •Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and Essbase is considered a strong asset.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesize large volumes of data into concise recommendations.
• •Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a strong team spirit, manage multiple priorities and continuously improve processes.
• •Fluent in English and French; Dutch or any additional language is an advantage.
