About the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Reporting, the Financial Analyst, Regulatory and Management Reporting (the "FA"), is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and submission of monthly and quarterly regulatory reports to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) and other regulatory stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines. The FA will also support Management Reporting by preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packages, management presentations, and investor reporting, while contributing to process improvements, documentation initiatives, and audit support activities.

• •Prepare and produce weekly and monthly investor reporting packages.
• •Prepare, analyze, and submit assigned regulatory returns to OSFI and the Bank of Canada (BoC) on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• •Produce monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, including presentation materials for management review.
• •Perform data validation and analytical review procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of reported information.
• •Document reporting processes, procedures, key risks, and internal controls.
• •Support internal audits, external audits, agreed-upon procedures (AUPs), regulatory reviews, and related information requests.
• •Participate in process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency and strengthen controls.
• •Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Financial Systems, and other business partners to ensure the consistency and accuracy of reporting data.
• •Assist with ad hoc reporting requests, analyses, and special projects as required.

What we’re looking for:

• •Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• •CPA Designation (or equivalent) or active pursuit of a professional accounting designation is considered an asset.
• •2 to 4 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, audit, accounting, or a related finance function.
• •Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables.
• •Experience with Alteryx and Power Query or other data transformation and reporting tools is considered an asset.
• •Familiarity with financial and regulatory reporting systems is considered an asset but it is not necessary.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• •Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• •Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
• •Good verbal and written communication skills.
• •Ability to work independently while building effective relationships across functional teams.
