FMEA deployment manager (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) M/F

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an FMEA deployment manager (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to join our Department Processes Methods & Tools in Toulouse, France.

You will join a dynamic, multi-site Quality team supporting international aircraft programmes, working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations to drive operational excellence.

In this role, you will act as a strategic quality leader responsible for embedding Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodologies across the product development lifecycle within Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering functions.

You will be involved in defining, facilitating, and deploying robust DFMEA and PFMEA methods and tools to drive proactive risk mitigation across Airbus functions and sites.

You will also contribute to cross-functional capability building, software tool adoption, and continuous improvement of Quality Standards.

Your challenges :

Your main challenge will be to lead the cultural and methodological shift toward proactive risk mitigation, standardizing FMEA deployment across diverse teams while accelerating the digital integration of DFMEA and PFMEA workflows into enterprise systems (such as Skywise and SAP S/4HANA).

• •Contribute to the implementation and governance of DFMEA and PFMEA methods within Airbus functions and sites.
• •Lead and facilitate cross-functional FMEA workshops across Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production.
• •Ensure seamless closed-loop flow down from DFMEA to PFMEA and Control Plans.
• •Drive the adoption and integration of FMEA software tools (Skywise & SAP S4) within Airbus functions and sites.
• •Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track risk reduction effectiveness, high-RPN mitigation velocity, and overall system maturity.
• •Lead training, capability building, and communities of practice to drive continuous improvement in FMEA learning solutions and content quality.
• •Contribute to the implementation and deployment of other Quality Standards according to the EN9145 standard based on business priorities.

Your boarding pass :

• •7+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, with at least 3 years actively facilitating and deploying DFMEA/PFMEA in high-reliability industries (Automotive, Aerospace, Medical Devices, or Electronics).
• •Experience in performing quality assurance and proactive risk mitigation methods (DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, Control Plans, Problem Solving).
• •Good knowledge of Quality Management System
• •Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex technical subjects in a synthetic manner.
• •Ability to influence and negotiate with diplomacy and to interact with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
• •Curious, open-minded, persistent, resilient, and rigorous with project management competencies.
• •Digital competencies and experience with FMEA standard softwares would be a plus.
• •Language : English negotiation level.
