About the Position: This position is located at the 359th Medical Group - Joint Base San Antonio - Randolph Air Force Base. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Duties

• •Serve as principal deputy and act as the Chief Administrator in their absence or as delegated. Assist in establishing priorities, coordinating staff actions, tracking suspense items, and ensuring timely execution of organizational objectives.
• •Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating programs, initiatives, and operational activities within the Chief Administrator's (SGA) portfolio.
• •Monitor progress toward objectives; identifies risks, issues, and resource constraints; and recommend corrective actions to the Chief Administrator (SGA).
• •Serve as a Personnel Management action officer. Oversee personnel actions within the organization, to include all hiring (as applicable), orientation, workload management, counseling, rating or other management actions.
• •Support budget formulation, execution, and oversight for assigned programs.
• •Review funding requirements and expenditure data; monitor obligations and execution rates; identify potential shortfalls or unfunded requirements; and prepare recommendations for resource allocation and prioritization.
• •Assist with workforce planning, staffing, performance-management, employee-development, awards, recognition, and workload-distribution activities.
• •Develop and review executive-level briefings, issue papers, correspondence, reports, meeting materials, and decision memoranda. Ensure products are accurate, responsive, coordinated, and presented in a clear manner suitable for senior-leader review.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting senior leadership in planning and executing organizational programs; analyzing personnel, budget, or operational data to identify issues and recommend improvements; managing or monitoring organizational resources; and preparing reports or other written products for leadership review. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
