Summary

About the Position: Serves within the Quality Management Department at U.S. Naval Hospital Naples, Italy, supporting the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) Deputy Director through the Quality Manager and designated staff. As a Health Systems Specialist, the MSSP acts as technical advisor to the Privileging Authority, Credentials Committee/Function Chairperson, and assigned providers on all matters related to the Credentialing and Privileging (CP) Program. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• •Manages the Credentialing and Privileging (CP) Program for U.S. Naval Hospital Naples, Italy, its branch clinic, and associated programs
• •Initiates and processes medical staff appointments and clinical privileges by verifying credentials and conducting comprehensive risk assessments
• •Serves as the Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS) database administrator by authorizing user access, educating users, and training staff on new CP procedures, processes, and policies
• •Responds to internal and external requests for verification of clinical privileges and scope of practice for current and former affiliated providers.
• •Coordinates reporting and committee support functions by assembling, consolidating, and distributing the monthly Credential Provider report

Specialized experience One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service in acting as technical advisor to the Privileging Authority, Credentials Committee/Function Chairperson, and assigned providers on matters related to the Credentialing and Privileging (CP) Program. OR Substitution of education master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
