Health System Specialist (FTMS/EFMP)

Summary

About the Position: Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for the FMTS office and the EFMP, overseeing the administrative procedural aspects of the program for the Health Facility. This position is located at McDonald Army Health Center at Fort Eustis, Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• •Check individual patients for eligibility of care and determine the reason for the visit.
• •Provide the patients with FMTS or EFMP forms, guidance, counseling, enrollment information, and proper instruction.
• •Manage the daily operations of the EFMP and FMTS programs to ensure military families with special medical or educational needs are properly supported and cleared during Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves.
• •Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the FMTS and EFMP.
• •Implement the standard operating procedure from higher headquarters as well as conducts staff training to ensure that all clinic personnel understand enrollment criteria as well as provider responsibilities as outlined in the commander’s directive.
• •Ensure documents are reviewed by the appointed FMTS or EFMP provider; inputting the information into the approved electronic EFMP enrollment system within five (5)business days of receipt

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative assistance within a healthcare facility, utilizing various database systems to analyze healthcare data, and identifying problems and developing solutions to healthcare systems or processes. Providing assistance with preparing and monitoring annual budgets for the department or clinic. Identifying problems and developing solutions to healthcare systems or processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Hospital Administration, Public Health Administration, or related fields such as Business or Public Administration with course work in Health Care Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
