the posting

LGT Wealth Management was formed around a clear and uncompromising vision – to bring global best practice in building institutional quality investment portfolios to Australian clients.

With a shared passion for building an uncompromised business – we created something new from the ground up. A chance to leave behind the things that weren’t working, while enhancing the things that were. Our authentic and personalised client-first commitment. Our entrepreneurial spirit. Our focus in best-in-class advice. And our intimate understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape.

In 2022 we became a part of the LGT Group, who shared our entrepreneurial spirit, long-term approach and private-ownership model. Today, with the global expertise, stability, and capability of LGT behind us, we can work without being reliant on markets or margins, with a singular focus on giving our clients the advice and deep expertise they need for generations to come.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, with second-line reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will provide hands-on coordination and administrative support across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with our HR Business Partners, people managers and employees, you will contribute to recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, learning initiatives, work health and safety activities, and broader HR projects.

This is an opportunity to build broad HR experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while supporting a nationally distributed workforce.

Please note this is a 24 month fixed term contract.

What you will do

As a key member of our HR team, you will help keep our processes running smoothly and ensure employees and managers receive responsive, high-quality support.

You will:

  • Provide practical coordination and administrative support across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to employee changes and development.
  • Support recruitment activities where required, helping to create a positive and professional experience for hiring managers and candidates.
  • Prepare accurate employment documentation and maintain employee information and records in Workday and other HR systems.
  • Coordinate induction sessions for new starters across our Melbourne and Sydney offices.
  • Assist with learning initiatives, professional development records, reporting and work health and safety activities.
  • Respond to day-to-day HR queries, working collaboratively with the HR Business Partners and broader team to deliver timely outcomes.
  • Contribute to HR projects and process improvements, using data, systems and approved AI tools to make our ways of working simpler and more effective.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining high standards of accuracy, privacy and attention to detail.

About you

You are a collaborative and service-focused HR professional who takes ownership, exercises sound judgement and enjoys working across varied priorities. You combine attention to detail with clear communication and a practical, solutions-oriented approach.

You will bring:

  • A university qualification in Business, Commerce, Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • At least 18 months’ experience in an HR role preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of human resources and work health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data capabilities, with the ability to explain processes and outputs clearly.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • The ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, including in digital tools, data and technology.
  • The ability to use systems, data and AI tools ethically and securely.

LGT Wealth Management is committed to the ongoing development of their employees. Your development will be managed and tailored to your role and future career path.
