Kelli’s and Cloverkey are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to work closely with the Director of Human Resources to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department and independently manage assigned HR functions. Responsibilities include onboarding, employee relations, bi-weekly payroll, benefits and leave administration, HRIS management, compliance, and the administration of company policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support HR programs and independently manage assigned functions, including employee relations, recruiting and onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, HRIS, and employee records.
  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, workplace concerns, and employment-related matters. Support employee relations issues, investigations, performance and attendance concerns, and disciplinary documentation, escalating complex matters to the Director of HR.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data; prepare reports and conduct regular file audits to ensure compliance.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and coordinate with departments to ensure accurate and timely timekeeping and payroll information.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, open enrollment, employee questions, and coordination with benefit vendors and brokers.
  • Coordinate employee leave and related programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and other leave matters.
  • Support performance management, including performance reviews, employee documentation, performance improvement plans, and manager guidance.
  • Coordinate New Hire Orientation, and pre-employment requirements, including background checks and required employment documentation.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs and support HR-related training initiatives.
  • Monitor applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements and support compliance, reporting, and HR audits.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to HR policies, procedures, and processes to increase consistency and efficiency.
  • Conduct initial time clock enrollment for new employees and assist with timekeeping-related questions and issues.
  • Support HR projects, initiatives, and department operations, including maintaining supplies, records, logs, and correspondence.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of HR.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred
  • Minimum 3 years Human Resource experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required; proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources, including employment and labor laws and Human Resources techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of variety of payroll and HRIS systems required
  • Knowledge of business principles and excellent command of the English language (read, write and speak)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy and compassion, as needed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and computer literacy; ability to communicate with all levels of teammates
  • Ability to manage many functions and projects concurrently, as well as establishing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
  • Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
