INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (SHIPS)

Summary

You will serve as a Industrial Specialist (Ships) in the LHA/LHD Class Team, CVN/LHA/LHD Branch, CVN/Amphibious Division, Waterfront Operations Department, Office of the Executive Director, Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

• •You will act as the business agent for Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) with other activities involved in the assigned availability/contracts.
• •You will conduct the arrival conference, weekly progress conferences, and to represent NSSA at all conferences pertaining to the assigned availability and contracts.
• •You will review specifications to ensure completeness and conformance to authorized work.
• •You will coordinate planning and estimating, design specification preparation, and scheduling.
• •You will maintain liaison with customers, ship’s force, and contractors on all matters on all assigned availabilities from advance planning through post completion.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience acting as funds administrator for contracts of ships. Experience planning, estimating, scheduling, expediting labor, machines, and materials in an industrial environment. Experience leading project management teams established for coordination of key events and Milestones on ships and/or crafts. Experience managing ship repair job orders and contracts by progressing and monitoring contract administration and procurement regulations.
