Influencer & Community Marketing Intern – Recent Graduate

6-Month Project

Dermalogica is seeking an Influencer & Community Marketing Intern for a six-month paid internship.

Full-time | 6 Months | Hybrid | 3 Days per Week in Office | Toronto, ON

Are you a recent post-secondary graduate looking to launch your career in marketing, influencer relations, social media, and community engagement?

Dermalogica is looking for a curious, creative, highly organized, and relationship-focused recent marketing/PR graduate to join our Marketing team as an Influencer & Community Marketing Intern .

Reporting to the PR & Influencer Specialist , this role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across influencer marketing, community engagement, social media, PR, content creation, product seeding, and project coordination. As part of this six-month project, you will help build and develop the Dermalogica PRO Collective —a community of professional skin care experts and emerging voices who can authentically educate, create content, and advocate for the Dermalogica brand. This is an opportunity to take what you have learned in school and apply it in a real-world marketing environment while developing a portfolio of experience and measurable project results.

Your 6-Month Project

Throughout the internship, you will support the development and growth of the Dermalogica PRO Collective , helping to create a more organized and consistent approach to identifying, engaging, activating, and supporting professional skin care voices.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to a project that includes:

Building and maintaining a database of potential and existing PRO Collective members

Identifying emerging voices across esthetics, dermatology, nursing, medspa, skin science, wellness, and professional education

Developing monthly content opportunities and creative briefs for PRO Collective members

Supporting relationships and ongoing communication with members

Coordinating product seeding and content opportunities

Tracking and organizing PRO-generated content

Monitoring social media conversations and emerging trends

Supporting monthly reporting and measuring community engagement

Making recommendations for how the PRO Collective can continue to grow and evolve

By the end of the six-month project, you will have gained practical experience in influencer marketing, community development, social media, PR, project management, reporting, and relationship building .

Key Responsibilities

PRO Collective & Community Development

Research and identify credible emerging voices across professional skin care, esthetics, dermatology, nursing, medspa, skin science, wellness, and education.

Help identify students, emerging professionals, and established Pros who may be a strong fit for the Dermalogica community.

Support the development and distribution of monthly PRO content briefs aligned with the marketing calendar, including video prompts, expert perspectives, product education, and campaign themes.

Monitor social media and community conversations to identify relevant trends, questions, topics, and content opportunities.

Support ongoing communication with PRO Collective members and help ensure members remain engaged with the Dermalogica community.

Assist with coordinating PRO filming days, events, office visits, and other content opportunities.

Maintain organized records of PRO-generated content, including links, social handles, content type, engagement, and usage rights.

Support monthly reporting, including PROs activated, content generated, social tags, engagement, and top-performing content.

Influencer & PR Support

Support the development and maintenance of influencer and PRO seeding lists.

Coordinate product shipments and help maintain accurate tracking of product seeding.

Support organic PR and influencer mailer send-outs.

Assist with tracking influencer and PR activity and maintaining organized records.

Stay informed about upcoming product launches, campaigns, product education, and key brand messages to ensure communications are accurate and consistent.

Social Media & Community Engagement

Support the team in monitoring and responding to community questions and conversations across social platforms, including:

Instagram

TikTok

Facebook

Help identify opportunities to engage with relevant professional and skin care communities.

Bring forward interesting social trends, conversations, creators, and content ideas.

Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to support positive and authentic community engagement.

What You Bring

A recent post-secondary graduate with a degree, diploma, or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Media, Business, or a related field.

A genuine interest in skin care, professional beauty, health, wellness, social media, and/or influencer marketing .

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

An interest in social media and an understanding of platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines.

A creative mindset and willingness to bring forward new ideas.

Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in building relationships.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

A willingness to learn, ask questions, take initiative, and contribute as part of a collaborative team.

Based in the GTA and able to commute to our downtown Toronto office three days per week .
