INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST

Summary

You will serve as a GG-13 senior Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) Analyst responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting raw ACINT data. You will use analytical techniques in Sound Pressure Level (SPL) measurements, acoustic signal processing theory, and sensor certification to complete assignments. This position is located within the ACINT Department of FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER in Suitland, Maryland.

Duties

• •You will exploit acoustic data using specialized signal processing and analysis equipment and software installed in the National Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) Laboratory.
• •You will employ Target Motion Analysis (TMA) techniques and analytical techniques used in Sound Pressure Level (SPL) measurements, acoustic signal processing theory, and sensor certification.
• •You will apply Low-Frequency Array (LOFAR) gram analysis and beamforming techniques to daily Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) analysis.
• •You will develop, tailor, prepare, and communicate detailed technical and intelligence-based acoustic assessments and other products that represent the command position of foreign naval threat platforms acoustic signatures.
• •You will draw on board expertise to effectively interact and coordinate with senior Intelligence Community (IC) members and foreign counterparts.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as: Serve as a Senior Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) analyst responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting raw ACINT data; Develop new and revise existing formal intelligence products and assessments relative to the capability of foreign countries to undertake certain naval operations including briefings, automated and manual databases, studies, estimates, and analysis; Interact with senior Intelligence Community (IC), industry, or other analysts and/or experts and coordinate information with foreign counterparts.
