The Business Resilience team is responsible for strengthening Sony Pictures Entertainment's ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions. As part of the Security & Safety organization, the team partners with business leaders across global operations to identify critical business functions, assess operational risks and dependencies, develop continuity strategies, and enhance organizational resilience. This work supports SPE's broader enterprise resilience mission, which integrates business continuity, emergency preparedness, crisis management, and threat intelligence capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate business resilience planning activities across prioritized business units, including stakeholder outreach, meeting scheduling, and follow-up communications.
- Support the development of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and workaround planning by documenting information gathered during workshops, tracking outstanding items, and facilitating plan completion.
- Develop program dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools to monitor the status of continuity planning efforts, milestones, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Attend workaround development meetings and workshops, capture action items and key decisions, and help ensure timely completion of follow-up activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve program processes and develop tools, workflows, or tracking mechanisms that increase the efficiency and scalability of the Business Resilience program.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams, track deadlines, and independently drive follow-up actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders across various business functions.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage complex assignments with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Emergency Management, Organizational Leadership, Risk Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating projects, programs, events, or cross-functional initiatives in an academic, professional, or volunteer setting.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar tools used for tracking and reporting.
- Interest in business continuity, organizational resilience, crisis management, risk management, or operational planning.
- Experience developing process improvements, workflow systems, or project tracking mechanisms that improve efficiency and accountability.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
