  • Content & Media Relations: Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, social media captions and PR materials while maintaining up-to-date media lists, contact databases, and relationship logs with journalists and influencers.
  • Coverage & Trend Monitoring: Track daily media coverage, compile detailed PR reports, and conduct research on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging media outlets.
  • Events & Campaign Support: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing press events, media visits, conferences, interviews, and regional PR campaigns.
  • Administrative & Operational Support: Manage general admin tasks for the PR team, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, tracking invoices/budgets, and archiving media assets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Social Media, Partnerships) to ensure consistent messaging, assist with crisis/reputation management, and identify social media engagement opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Communication & Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Written proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is highly advantageous to support translations and regional media liaison.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (coursework or prior internship experience in PR is preferred).
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for on-site or hybrid working based on business needs.
  • Highly proactive, eager to learn and grow within the PR industry, and capable of prioritising tasks to hit tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
