IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/INET) (TITLE 32)

Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/INET) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD0263P01 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization. This Job is open for eligible candidates who are ONBOARD ONLY (Internal to the Agency).

Duties

As an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/INET), GS-2210-12, you will serves as a principal expert and the authoritative source for software application development providing project leadership to lower-graded specialists. Determine feasibility of the requested applications. Analyze National Guard Bureau (NGB), agency and locally developed standard/stovepipe systems to determine needed additions. Develop reports on the status of projects. Develop and document internal Standard Operating Procedures/Instructions (SOP/SOIs) for application development. Determine overall technical design and structure of websites and web-based applications. Attend conferences and seminars that deal with Software Engineering and application development. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-4 through E-6 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months specialized experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies which demonstrate the likelihood to perform successfully the duties of the position and is related to the work of the position to be filled; these knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies are normally attained through the equivalent of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of GS-11; or experience obtained through other means; demonstratable knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies may be typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT or other means. At a minimum, you must have a bachelors degree in one of the following concentrations: - Bachelors in Information Technology - Bachelors in Cybersecurity - Bachelors in Information Systems - Bachelors in Data Science - Bachelors in Software Engineering

Education
