We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals to join our kitchen team as Kitchen Hand / Kitchen Porter. This role is essential in supporting the smooth, efficient running of our kitchen and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation and teamwork.

This is a zero‑hours position, with shifts offered in line with business needs. Weekend availability is particularly important, as these are some of our busiest times.

What you’ll be doing:

Wash, dry and store dishes, cutlery, pans and kitchen equipment to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly

Maintain clean, tidy and well‑organised kitchen, wash‑up and back‑of‑house areas

Clean work surfaces, floors, equipment and storage areas in line with hygiene and safety standards

Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation such as peeling, chopping and ingredient prep

Help with deliveries, including unpacking and storing stock safely and correctly

Support stock rotation and ensure ingredients are stored appropriately

Empty bins and manage waste following company procedures

Assist chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy service periods

Follow cleaning schedules and report any maintenance or hygiene concerns

What we’re looking for:

A positive, hardworking attitude and willingness to get stuck in

Ability to work well as part of a busy, supportive team

Calm, efficient approach during busy service periods

Willingness to learn, take direction and support the wider kitchen team

Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is helpful but not essential

Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods

Strong time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

Good attention to detail, especially around cleanliness and hygiene

Right to work in the UK

Access to transport due to our rural location
