Responsibilities:

• •Develop DFB laser structures for high optical output power, high efficiency, and high reliability based on semiconductor material physics and optical science.
• •Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure a smooth transition from development to volume production.
• •Product design of DFB laser for yield improvement and cost reduction
• •Design and fabricate the necessary parts for evaluation, such as submounts, as needed.
• •Evaluate fabricated chips, analyze evaluation data and prepare technical reports.
• •Attend a meeting to explain and discuss the results.

Expected Background:

• •BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field.
• •Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experiences.

Expected Skill:

• •Knowledge of compound semiconductor such as InP material system and material physics.
• •Experience of semiconductor laser design and development , including high power DFB laser design, optical simulation, and thermal simulation, with at least 2-3 years’ experience.
• •Experience in new product introduction (NPI), technology transfer, or development-to-production transition is preferred.
• •Experience in analyzing large volumes of experimental data using JMP or similar statistical analysis tools.
• •Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability
• •Fluent Japanese speaker and intermediate English skill
• •Basic PC skills, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• •Programming skills, such as Excel VBA/macros and Python, are preferred.
