Laser Semiconductor Engineer

Responsibilities:

• •Develop enhanced laser designs to improve existing products using semiconductor material physics and optical science.
• •Support new product introduction (NPI), capacity ramp-up, and stable volume production.
• •Product design of DFB laser for yield improvement and cost reduction
• •Design and fabricate the necessary parts for evaluation, such as submounts, as needed.
• •Evaluate fabricated chips, analyze evaluation data and prepare technical reports.
• •Provide customer technical support and present technical results

Expected Background:

• •BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field.
• •Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experiences.

Expected Skill:

• •Knowledge of compound semiconductors such as InP material system and material physics.
• •Experience of semiconductor laser design and development with at least 2-3 years’ experience.
• •Experience of product design for yield improvement and cost reduction of semiconductor laser diode
• •Experience in analyzing large volumes of experimental data using JMP or similar statistical analysis tools.
• •Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability
• •Fluent Japanese speaker and intermediate English skill
• •Basic PC skills, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• •Programming skills, such as Excel VBA/macros and Python, are preferred.
