Summary

As a Lead Business Development Specialist in the Office of Center Opportunities and Partnerships at NASA Glenn Research Center, you will lead team activities supporting business development, partnerships, and new initiatives. You will coordinate workload and priorities, engage internal and external stakeholders, and support the development and implementation of partnerships and new business initiatives that advance the Center's strategy and NASA mission objectives.

Duties

  • Leads team activities by distributing and balancing workload, establishing priorities, coordinating assignments, and adjusting work to meet organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Communicates organizational priorities, assignments, milestones, and expectations to team members and ensures work products and services support strategic goals and mission requirements.
  • Monitors team workload, progress, and completed work to ensure priorities, deadlines, quality standards, and established requirements are met.
  • Coaches and facilitates team activities, promotes collaboration and consensus, and identifies individual and team training or developmental needs.
  • Leads business development and partnership activities involving internal and external stakeholders to advance organizational opportunities, initiatives, and mission objectives.
  • Provides administrative, program, and business management support, including planning initiatives, analyzing information, and advising management on programmatic matters.
  • Develops, coordinates, negotiates, or manages partnership opportunities and agreements and maintains relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Leading teams or work groups performing business, program, partnership, or administrative activities to achieve organizational objectives; Developing, coordinating, negotiating, or managing business opportunities, partnerships, agreements, or other collaborative initiatives with internal or external stakeholders; Providing program or business management support by planning initiatives, analyzing information, and developing recommendations or advising management on programmatic matters.
