Library Technician NF-02

Summary

This position is located at Hays Library, Fort Stewart, GA.Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. This announcement was amended on 23 JUL 2026 to reflect a pay range of $16.50 to $17.00 per hour.

Duties

• •Provides technician support by performing a wide variety of direct services to the public: registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdues and reserves.
• •Assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials.
• •Provides technical services support in a variety of functions: basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and deacquisitioning of library materials.
• •Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories. Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.
• •Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or Two years of education above high schoolorA combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Has knowledge of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR).
