Line Worker - Rotating Schedule 6PM-6AM

Summary

Pack boxes of finished goods. The finished goods will be packed in groups of ten, which are food grade disposable liners for use in quick serve restaurants and convenience stores. This role will rotate positions throughout the line.

Pay of $19.25 per hour PLUS a $1.50 hour shift premium . (When rotating schedule starts)

Work Schedule: 6pm-6am. Work 2 days, off 2 days; work 3 days, off 2 days; work 2 days; then off 3 days, and repeat. Shift schedule example: Week One: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Week Two: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday. In other words, 48 hours one week, 36 hours the next.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Saftea

· Push liners through top taper machine

· Visually inspect the product, and overall visual inspection for critical characteristics

· Count and place liners into a box

· Documents non-conforming material

· Follows production orders and enters production data into a computer or documents on paper

· Maintains a clean work area and ensures work area is clean at the end of shift

· Continuously stock machine hoppers

· Assemble & stage boxes with liners and daily labels

· Assistant in the change film roll

· Complete tracking tickets and stage finished goods

· Communicate raw materials needs with warehouse personnel

· Move pallets of raw materials and finished goods with a pallet-jack

Hand Assembly (when applicable)

· Place parts onto fixture for assembly

· Press fit parts into assembly

· Visually inspect the cuff and tube, and overall visual inspection for critical characteristics

· Count and place parts into bin

· Fold bags in half

· Place in box

Other Responsibilities

· Documents non-conforming material

· Maintains a clean work area and ensures work area is clean at the end of shift

· Operates pallet jack as needed

· Cross train for continuous learning and development for back up support in the in case of vacation/absent

Education and/or Experience

No prior experience or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Able to accurately count to 50.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, which includes bending when picking a box up and setting boxes down on a pallet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to turn each time a Safetea Liner is made and when placing it into a green crate, as well as when placing finished bags into boxes.
