The Role
We are seeking an experienced Loan IQ Business Analyst to support the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing operation of mission-critical lending platforms for leading financial institutions. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, partnering with stakeholders across front, middle, and back-office functions to optimize loan servicing processes, drive system improvements, and ensure operational excellence throughout the loan lifecycle.
You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Loan IQ, helping shape solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience while supporting strategic transformation initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements across loan origination, servicing, repayments, restructures, and other loan lifecycle events.
Serve as a Loan IQ SME, supporting modules including servicing, accounting, agency deals, and integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and solution designs for development teams and vendors.
Lead or support testing activities including SIT and UAT, creating test cases, managing defect resolution, and validating business outcomes.
Provide production support through issue triage, root cause analysis, data investigation, and coordination with technology teams and third-party vendors.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting commercial lending, syndicated loans, or loan operations environments.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Finastra Loan IQ, including servicing, accounting, agency, and loan lifecycle functionality.
Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and delivering technology change initiatives within financial services.
Strong analytical skills with experience supporting reconciliations, reporting, and investigation of loan balances, interest, fees, and accounting outputs.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business, technology, and vendor teams.
Bonus Points For
Experience working directly with Finastra or other loan servicing platform vendors.
Knowledge of loan accounting, general ledger integrations, and financial reporting processes.
Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and user story creation.
Experience supporting large-scale Loan IQ implementations, upgrades, or migration programs.
Familiarity with automation, workflow optimization, and operational transformation initiatives.
