What You Will Do:

• •Work with Industrial Engineers, production floor operators, and manufacturing support staff to resolve issues related to product flow, quality, ergonomics, and safety using state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques.
• •Develop or improve designs for fixtures or tooling to aid in manufacturing processes, including building, verifying, and implementing those fixtures using laser machines, 3D printers, and other manufacturing equipment.
• •Identify root causes of manufacturing defects and process inefficiencies, and implement effective corrective actions.
• •Program and operate manufacturing equipment such as laser machines and 3D printers to support fixture development.
• •Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• •Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the co-op session.
• •Completed at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co-op session.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• •Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• •Experience with SolidWorks modeling.
• •Experience with VBA or other scripting languages.
• •Knowledge or experience with 3D modeling or laser cutting.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
