As a Mechanical Assembler , you will turn blueprints, parts, and components into complete, functional assemblies. What You’ll Do

  • Read and follow mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, work orders, and production schedules.
  • Gather, clean, align, position, fit, and securely fasten parts and subassemblies.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, templates, and related assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Inspect parts and finished assemblies using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Identify defects, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete adjustments, repairs, or rework to meet specifications.
  • Complete production logs, quality checklists, and inventory requisitions accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety and PPE requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how parts and systems fit together.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions.
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, supervisors, quality, and engineering staff.
  • Preferred: 2–4 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience and experience using calipers or micrometers.

Physical Requirements

  • Use manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to complete detailed assembly work.
  • Stand, bend, reach, and perform hands-on tasks for extended periods.
  • Lift and move materials required for the work safely, with appropriate assistance or equipment when needed.
