You will be:

developing and maintaining backend applications with a strong focus on REST API development,

participating in the ongoing migration from Java 8 to newer Java versions, including Java 21/25,

designing and implementing solutions using Java, Spring, and jOOQ,

working with a platform consisting of multiple services communicating through REST APIs, with an increasing shift towards asynchronous communication,

working with Kafka and other messaging technologies as part of the platform's evolution,

contributing to CI/CD processes, code reviews, and maintaining high code quality,

collaborating with the team to improve existing systems and deliver new functionality.

Your profile:

4+ years of professional experience in Java development,

strong experience with Java, including Java version upgrades and migration from Java 8 to newer versions,

hands-on experience with Spring and Tomcat,

practical experience with jOOQ,

experience with Java Server Faces (JSF) and PrimeFaces,

experience working with MS SQL,

experience developing and consuming REST APIs,

familiarity with GitHub repositories, CI processes, and code reviews,

practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,

strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

good command of English (min. B2).

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

familiarity with Kafka, Apache Storm, and KSQL,

experience with asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures,

familiarity with SOAP,

basic knowledge of AWS, particularly services such as S3,

experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,

interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices, such as agent-based workflows, automation patterns, or AI-augmented development.
