Your Role

As a Senior Java Developer with Capgemini, you will play a key role in the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-grade software solutions. You will leverage your extensive technical expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications while mentoring team members and contributing to architectural and technical decisions. Working within a complex ecosystem, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of business-critical solutions.

In this role you will:

• •Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software components and applications based on business requirements, functional specifications, and architectural standards.
• •Develop robust and scalable solutions using Java and related frameworks, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• •Participate in solution design and technical architecture discussions, providing recommendations aligned with best practices and enterprise standards.
• •Build, integrate, and optimize technological and interoperability components, ensuring seamless interaction with internal and external systems.
• •Create, review, and maintain unit, integration, and automated test suites to ensure software quality and reliability.
• •Conduct code reviews, promote coding standards, and ensure compliance with security, performance, and quality requirements.
• •Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• •Contribute to CI/CD implementation, deployment automation, and DevOps practices to improve software delivery efficiency.
• •Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and operational procedures.
• •Mentor and support junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• •Collaborate with business analysts, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Your Profile

• •Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.
• •Excellent knowledge of Java (Java 8+), Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• •Proven experience with application integration technologies, messaging systems, and distributed systems concepts.
• •Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• •Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar) and database optimization techniques.
• •Experience with CI/CD tools, source code management systems, automated testing frameworks, and modern software development practices.
• •Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps methodologies is considered a strong asset.
• •Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• •Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• •Experience working in international and multicultural environments using Agile delivery methodologies.
• •Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development and related frameworks.
• •Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers, and contributing to architectural decisions is highly desirable.
• •Excellent communication skills in French and English.
