Mobile Device/App Automation Testing

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with different teams to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. The engineer applies modern development frameworks and follows agile methodologies to build scalable and efficient solutions. Throughout the day, there is a focus on continuous enhancement and adaptation of software to align with evolving project goals and client needs, fostering collaboration and innovation within the development environment. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for Web, Mobile (Android/iOS), and API testing.- Create and execute automated test scripts using Appium, Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured and Java.- Develop reusable automation utilities and framework components following industry best practices.- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.- Design and execute API test automation using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools.- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, DSU, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives.- Review automation code and mentor junior team members.- Prepare automation reports, test metrics, and quality dashboards.- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation strategy. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Appium, REST Assured, Selenium, and Java.- Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools specific to mobile platforms.- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.- Ability to design and execute automated test scripts to ensure software quality.- Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting techniques for mobile applications.- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment processes related to mobile testing. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Mobile Device/App Automation Testing.- This position is based at our Pune office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
