Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant), Outbound - Night Shift

We’re seeking for an experienced Process Assistant (PA) to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong South - Wednesday to Saturday Night Shift.

The PA will support the Area Manager and will hold responsibilities specific to pick, pack or ship.

• Key job responsibilities:
• - Support and work in other departments as required,
• - Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties,
• - Providing coverage for Area Managers,
• - Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline),
• - Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours,
• - Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance,
• - Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance,
• - Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity,
• - Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals,
• - Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised,
• - Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area,
• - Coaching associates to work safely at all times
• - Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager.

Basic qualifications

• - Previous experience leading teams
• - Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• - Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
• - Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
• - Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Preferred qualifications

• - Leadership experience directly managing others
• - Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
• - Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
