Job Description Summary

The Patient Care Specialist I serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing front desk operations. Responsibilities include patient check-in/check-out, demographic updates, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and handling calls. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred but not required. ‎

The Patient Care Specialist I is responsible for delivering exceptional patient service while supporting daily front office operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Accurately update and verify patient demographics and insurance information
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
  • Check out patients and ensure all necessary documentation is complete
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Support providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required

Compensation Range:

$17.10 to

$25.65

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
