Per Diem Patient Registrar – Interventional Radiology – Days – Weill Cornell

As a Patient Registrar, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience, from arrival through registration and scheduling. You’ll be responsible for:

• •Greeting patients with professionalism, warmth, and respect
• •Registering and pre-registering patients accurately in our system
• •Collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information
• •Scheduling appointments and coordinating with referring providers
• •Securing pre-certifications and authorizations to support timely reimbursement
• •Preparing necessary documentation and communicating financial responsibilities
• •Interface with referring offices/departments

Above all, you’ll be a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care - helping them feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.

Schedule : This is a per diem day shift position that will work Wednesdays-Fridays from 8:00am-4:00pm within the Radiology Department at our Weill Cornell site and DHK Reception Area.

Preferred Criteria

• •Some college
• •Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
• •Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements
• •Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4

Required Criteria

• •High School Diploma or GED
• •One year of clerical experience
• •Effective communication, along with phone and computer skills
