Job Description:

  • As one of our Personal Care Assistant (Living Support Partners) you will be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team that is committed to creating a welcoming, professional and caring environment for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Mitchelton . Living Support Partners provide direct care and assistance to resident with all activities of daily living. They partner with residents to support their daily routine, lifestyle and choices and ensure they feel safe, valued, respected and engaged. This position is to work as an effective household member and is supervised, providing care for residents in a specific household. They are responsible for assisting and supporting their wellbeing through professional, caring and efficient execution of required duties.

Things that work for us:

Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification is essential

Demonstrates good availability across AM, PM and night shifts, with potential to transition to a permanent part-time position in the near future, working a minimum of three weekdays per week.

Experience in an aged care environment and memory support units (dementia support)

Personal care provision that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation

High level of customer service skills

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Ability to follow directives as per care plan

Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
