Summary:
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Phlebotomist to work onsite at 323 Lowell Street in Andover, MA. The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Our Phlebotomists play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and are responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing.
Essential Functions:
- -Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
- -Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of
- specimens.
- -Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- -Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- -Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations.
- -Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned
- -Performs other duties as assigned
- -Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred
- Two years of phlebotomy experience required
