Job Description:

  • About the Team
  • The Strategic Partnerships team manages Dow Jones’ strategic relationships with major technology and distribution platforms, working across brands including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and MarketWatch.

The team partners closely with Editorial, Product, Marketing, Finance and other functions to maximize the audience and commercial value of these relationships. Combining partnership strategy, data and performance insights, the team identifies opportunities to grow engagement, strengthen distribution and drive measurable business results.

  • About the Role
  • As a core member of this team, the Platform Partnerships Manager is the operational engine supporting the Senior Platform Partnerships Manager in managing the health of the business.

Your mission is to ensure the smooth execution of Dow Jones’ high-profile partnerships on platforms like Apple News and Snapchat. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution, ensuring that our internal workflows are seamless, our data is impeccable, and our performance is tracked with precision.

  • You Will
  • Drive Internal Synergy: Facilitate coordination across newsrooms, marketing, product, and finance by acting as the "connective tissue" that keeps multiple internal groups aligned on partnership goals.

Master Performance Data: Take full ownership of KPI tracking by monitoring and visualizing performance data to provide actionable insights into how our brands are performing on third-party platforms.

Optimize Content Experience : Support the Senior Manager in auditing and improving the user experience for Dow Jones content on platform partner apps.

Streamline Business Operations: Navigate the business lifecycle of our partnerships by managing contract routing and financial workflows (such as purchase orders and billing) to ensure projects move forward without friction.

Orchestrate Complex Logistics: Manage the cadence of the partnership team by organizing cross-functional meetings and managing calendars to ensure all stakeholders are engaged at the right time.

Reporting directly to the Senior Platform Partnerships Manager, you will work in our Midtown Manhattan office 3 days a week.

You Have

Digital Media Fluency: 7 years of experience in digital media, account management, or operations with an understanding of the platform partnerships ecosystem. Ideally, you have pulled and analyzed audience data, identified engagement opportunities, built performance reporting, recommended optimizations, worked with editorial/newsroom teams to implement them, and measured the resulting impact.

Exceptional Organizational Rigor: You are a highly effective project manager who thrives on creating order out of complexity and never lets a detail slip through the cracks.

Expert Data & Spreadsheet Skills: This is a core requirement. You must be highly proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, comfortable manipulating large datasets and translating numbers into clear performance updates.

AI-First Mindset: You are an early adopter of AI tools and use them proactively to automate repetitive workflows, summarize data, and increase your overall output.

Internal Influence: You are able to communicate effectively across diverse departments (from Legal to Editorial) to get contracts signed and projects approved.

Education: You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.

Flexibility: You are willing and able to work on-site in our Midtown Manhattan office 3 days each week.
