Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner provides psychotherapy and psychopharmacology services to patients in a primarily telehealth environment, supported by a collaborative team of psychiatrists, therapists, and clinical leaders who provide consultation, shared expertise, and support for high-quality patient care.

Accessible Support: Approachable clinical leaders, supervisors, and dedicated administrative teams provide support so providers can focus on patient care, clinical collaboration, and their practice.

Weekly 1:1 Supervision: Dedicated individualized support, consultation, and professional development

Administrative & Operational Support: Dedicated teams help manage the operational aspects of care, allowing providers to focus on their clinical work

Comprehensive Onboarding: Structured orientation to clinical standards, care processes, systems, and role-specific practices

Clinical Community: Be part of a multidisciplinary environment built around consultation, connection, and shared learning.

Weekly Group Supervision: Case consultation, peer discussion, knowledge sharing, and clinical guidance

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Access to psychotherapy and psychiatric colleagues for consultation and coordinated care

Peer Community: Connect, collaborate, and learn from providers across disciplines and experience levels

Continued Growth: Continue developing your clinical knowledge, interests, and expertise throughout your time at Rivia.

Weekly Clinical Education: Mental health topics, guest speakers, trainings, and continued skill development

Job Responsibilities & Qualifica tions

Responsibilities

Provide excellent quality clinical care on a consistent basis that exemplifies Rivia Mind’s culture, values, and guiding principles

Service and maintain a weekly average standard of 50 patient sessions (25 or 45-minute sessions)

Maintain a consistent weekly patient care schedule in alignment with Rivia Mind’s standard productivity expectations.

Follow Care Model practices that emphasize continuity of care, high-frequency follow-up appointments, and effective calendar management.

Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and develop curated patient-centered treatment plans

Provide appropriate Psychotherapy practices that leverage various modalities (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc.) with proper Psychopharmacology prescribing practices

Appropriately prescribe medications and refills, considering the best judgment of the patient's well-being

Provide clinical support & counseling to diverse patient populations in a telehealth environment

Coach patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provide therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes

Counsel and provide crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems

Comply with clinical standards and adhere to timely and thorough session note documentation

Promote a friendly work culture that encourages a fun, collaborative, and co-learning environment that benefits individuals' well-being, self-improvement and potential

Perform other related role and team function duties as assigned by department and group leaders

Qualifications

Required Education Level: Master's Degree or higher

Education Details: Master's in Nursing

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Must have Connecticut Licensure for the following:

Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License

Active DEA License in good standing

PMHNP-BC: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified

Additional Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Experience with solid competence in practicing Psychotherapy (CBT, MI, DBT, etc.)

Experience working with Patients in an Outpatient setting

Telehealth/telemedicine experience

Proficient with utilizing diverse technology platforms and systems (Google Suite, company-wide platforms/software and EHR platforms when applicable)

Intermediate computer skills and technical aptitude required

Compensation & Employment Details

  • At Rivia Mind, compensation is only one part of the employee experience. Our Total Rewards approach includes thoughtfully designed pay aligned with our business, roles, and markets, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, retirement support, professional development, wellbeing resources, and programs that recognize your contributions and support your growth—professionally and personally.
  • Pay Range: $145,000 - $160,000

Our compensation package includes a base salary based on compensable factors. Additionally, clinicians are eligible for quarterly bonuses of up to $2,000 (up to $8,000 annually), awarded based on defined metrics related to clinical excellence and care model performance.
