Part-Time | Approximately 20 Hours Per Week

Hourly Rate: $17.75+D.O.Q.

The Village of Lemont Police Department is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Police Records Assistant.

This position provides administrative and records support to the Police Department and serves as an important point of contact for residents, visitors, and other agencies.

What You’ll Do

  • Process, maintain, and organize police reports and records
  • Enter and update information in department records systems
  • Respond to requests for police reports and other records
  • Assist with FOIA requests, subpoenas, and related documentation
  • Provide professional customer service by phone and in person
  • Scan, file, and maintain confidential records and documents
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Police Department

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organized, accurate, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential information . The ideal candidate has strong communication and customer service skills, pays close attention to detail, and can effectively manage multiple priorities.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected, and previous clerical, records, municipal, or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week.

Tue 09:30-5:00pm

Wed 09:30-5:00pm

Thurs. 10:30-5:00pm
