Description

Lead the Team. Drive the Business. Own the Results.

Shared Practices Group is looking for a sales-minded operations leader to run the day-to-day business of our Columbia practice.

This is not a traditional dental office manager role.

Our Practice Operations Managers lead people, drive revenue, manage complex operations, coach performance, and create an exceptional patient experience. You’ll work alongside clinical and sales leaders to ensure the practice hits its production and revenue goals while building a high-performing, accountable team.

Dental experience is not required.

We are especially interested in leaders who have managed teams and business performance in environments such as:

  • Medical spas, aesthetics, cosmetic medicine, or elective healthcare
  • Plastic surgery, bariatrics, LASIK, dermatology, or other consultative healthcare businesses
  • High-volume dental or specialty practices with a strong sales component
  • Upscale hospitality, restaurants, luxury retail, fitness, wellness, or other service businesses where customer experience and revenue performance go hand in hand

If you’ve led a team where sales, service, staffing, operations, and financial performance all landed on your desk , we want to talk to you.

About Shared Practices Group

Shared Practices Group is one of the fastest-growing dental implant organizations in the country, with more than 40 practices across the U.S. focused on dentures and implant dentistry.

Our mission is simple: expand access to life-changing full-arch care so more patients can regain their smile, health, and confidence.

Our practices operate more like high-performing businesses than traditional dental offices. Our leaders are expected to understand the numbers, develop their people, identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive results.

What You’ll Own

Business Performance & Revenue Growth

You’ll know how the practice is performing and what needs to happen to reach its goals.

You will:

  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly performance against revenue and collection targets
  • Monitor business trends and identify gaps before they become problems
  • Partner closely with the sales team to improve consultation volume, follow-up, conversion, and revenue
  • Coach the team around behaviors that drive stronger business results
  • Identify opportunities to increase production, improve conversion, and maximize the patient journey
  • Lead daily huddles focused on priorities, goals, opportunities, and accountability
  • Celebrate wins while addressing performance gaps quickly and directly

Team Leadership & Performance

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team that may include sales consultants, dental assistants, and laboratory team members.

You will:

  • Create a high-energy, accountable, team-first culture
  • Coach employees to individual and team performance goals
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members
  • Set clear expectations and follow through on accountability
  • Conduct performance conversations and ongoing development
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling to support business demand
  • Partner effectively with clinical leadership while maintaining ownership of business operations

Operations

You’ll keep a complex, fast-moving practice running smoothly.

You will:

  • Oversee day-to-day business operations
  • Build efficient workflows and solve operational bottlenecks
  • Track and report key performance indicators
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, inventory, and operational coverage
  • Maintain company policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and profitability

Patient & Customer Experience

Our patients are making a major emotional and financial investment in their care. Creating an exceptional experience is critical.

You will:

  • Set the standard for an exceptional patient experience
  • Ensure strong communication and follow-through throughout the patient journey
  • Resolve escalated patient concerns professionally and urgently
  • Support consultations and the sales process when needed
  • Coach the team to balance empathy, service, urgency, and business results

Financial Ownership

You’ll understand the financial health of the practice and take action accordingly.

You will:

  • Own monthly revenue and collection performance
  • Understand and manage practice-level P&L drivers
  • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Oversee essential financial and administrative processes
  • Partner with leadership on business planning and performance improvement

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We care more about your leadership and business experience than whether you already know dentistry.

Strong candidates will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a sales-driven, production-driven, or high-performance environment
  • Demonstrated success coaching teams to measurable revenue, sales, service, or production goals
  • Experience managing multiple areas of a business at once, including people, operations, customer experience, and financial performance
  • Strong business judgment and comfort working with KPIs and performance metrics
  • The ability to identify performance gaps and take action
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence operating in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and the ability to learn new technology quickly

Experience We Especially Value

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

  • Medical spa or aesthetics management
  • Cosmetic or elective healthcare
  • Plastic surgery or body-contouring practices
  • Multi-location healthcare or service businesses
  • High-end hospitality or restaurant management
  • Luxury retail, fitness, wellness, or membership-based businesses
  • Dental practice leadership with meaningful sales, operational, or P&L responsibility

Dental experience is helpful, but it is not required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary of $65,000–$75,000
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time
  • Leadership development and career growth opportunities
  • The opportunity to lead a business, develop a team, and directly impact practice growth

Join Us

If you’re the kind of leader who wants to own the number, coach the team, solve the problems, and build a business , we’d love to meet you.

You do not need to come from dentistry.

You do need to know how to lead people, drive performance, create an exceptional customer experience, and deliver results.

Base Salary Description $65-75k/year
