We are seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Principal Professional Services Consultant to join our Services organization. In this role, you will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver successful implementations of Fortra's software solutions. You will serve as a technical leader, trusted advisor, and mentor, helping customers maximize the value of their investments while driving complex deployment and integration projects.

This position requires strong consulting expertise, advanced technical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading enterprise software implementations, solving complex technical challenges, mentoring technical team members, and building strong customer relationships. Travel is required, and opportunities may include delivering formal training sessions for customers, partners, and internal teams.

 WHAT YOU'LL DO

Customer Implementation & Solution Delivery

  • Lead the deployment and implementation of Fortra software solutions within customer environments.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support new and existing customers with complex implementation, configuration, integration, and usage scenarios.
  • Deliver consulting services and technical support both remotely and onsite.
  • Gather infrastructure and technical requirements to ensure successful deployment and interoperability with customer systems.
  • Develop implementation plans, deployment procedures, and production rollout strategies.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues through advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Develop custom scripts, utilities, integrations, and automation solutions to address customer requirements.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused recommendations for customers and stakeholders.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for one or more Fortra products, technologies, or specialized consulting disciplines.
  • Provide technical education, mentorship, and coaching to members of the Professional Services Technical Consulting team.
  • Promote best practices, operational efficiencies, and continuous learning across the team.
  • Share expertise related to software development, troubleshooting, DevOps methodologies, database technologies, and industry-leading platforms.
  • Assist with onboarding and development of new consulting team members.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support team growth and performance.

Project Leadership

  • Lead complex customer engagements with minimal supervision.
  • Manage project communications and stakeholder expectations throughout engagements.
  • Apply project management fundamentals, including: Risk management Communication planning Task tracking Issue escalation Change management
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to customer requirements.
  • Execute high-quality deliverables with minimal revisions.

Business Development & Customer Success

  • Build strong relationships with customers and partner organizations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer value and support additional service engagements.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to identify solution expansion opportunities.
  • Contribute to Services revenue objectives while maintaining high billable utilization and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and best-practice development.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Continuously improve consulting methodologies, implementation processes, and delivery standards.
  • Recommend enhancements to business analysis and service delivery practices to improve outcomes and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Professional Services tools, documentation, and operational processes.





QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience in Professional Services, Technical Consulting, Software Implementation, Solution Architecture, Systems Integration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise software implementations and customer-facing technical consulting engagements.
  • Advanced technical expertise in one or more software platforms, technologies, or specialized solution areas.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving resolution in customer environments.
  • Ability to develop scripts, integrations, automations, or technical utilities.
  • Strong understanding of software deployment, infrastructure, system integration, and application interoperability.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, or guiding technical team members.
  • Exceptional customer engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

This position requires proficiency in English to interact, support and/or provide services to non-French speaking customers, employees and/or partners inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.

Expected Compensation: C$125,000 - C$155,000
