Job Summary**

Altera Semiconductor Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Product Development Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge semiconductor products. This role involves working across the product lifecycle, from initial concept to mass production, ensuring high-quality and reliable solutions.

Job Responsibilities**

• * Collaborate with design, DFT (Design for Test), and test engineering teams to define product test requirements and strategies.
• * Develop and debug test programs for new silicon, including characterization, validation, and production testing.
• * Analyze silicon performance data, identify root causes of failures, and propose solutions for design, process, or test improvements.
• * Design and develop test hardware, including load boards and probe cards.
• * Perform product characterization across various operating conditions (voltage, temperature, frequency).
• * Drive yield improvement activities and reduce test costs throughout the product lifecycle.
• * Support failure analysis and debug of customer returns.
• * Generate technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and procedures.
• * Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and drive product maturity.

Qualifications:

• * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• * Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor product development, test engineering, or characterization.
• * Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and digital/analog circuit design.
• * Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Perl.
• * Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms (e.g., Teradyne, Advantest).
• * Familiarity with statistical data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Exensio).
• * Knowledge of DFT methodologies (e.g., JTAG, scan, MBIST).
• * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
