About the Role
This is a full-stack Product Engineer role at a small, fast-moving AI-powered recruiting platform in San Francisco. You will work directly alongside founders, product, and design to build user-facing features end-to-end, shaping both technical direction and product outcomes at an early stage of growth.
What You'll Do
Own product features from requirements through to production deployment.
Design APIs and data models, then implement both frontend and backend code.
Ship and iterate on user-facing experiences, balancing usability, performance, and feedback-driven improvements.
Integrate LLM and AI capabilities into core product flows in a reliable, production-grade way.
Build and maintain scalable backend services, data schemas, and operational tooling including CI/CD, monitoring, and testing.
Collaborate with founders, product, and design to prioritize work and define success metrics.
Contribute to architecture and roadmap discussions, making pragmatic tradeoffs suited to early-stage growth.
What We're Looking For
2 to 8 years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping user-facing products.
Strong full-stack skills: TypeScript and React/Next.js on the frontend, plus Python or Node.js on the backend.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
Practical, production experience integrating LLMs or other AI services (engineering focus, not research).
Clear product sense: the ability to translate user problems into practical, measurable solutions.
Comfort operating in small teams with limited process, high ambiguity, and context-switching across frontend, backend, and DevOps.
Experience with multi-tenant or enterprise-ready systems, API design, real-time systems, or high-throughput applications is a plus.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and background in regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or legal is a bonus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $150,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California, United States. This is not a remote role.
