What You Will Do:

Execute and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules, connecting material and resource availability for sales and operations execution (S&OE) horizon

Coordinate with cross functional teams, master schedulers, quality, engineering, purchasing, inventory control, program management leaders and other groups

Issue Resolution: Identify risks including shortages, bottlenecks, and disruptions; implement recovery and mitigation plans with cross-functional team

Track status of material availability and production readiness (leverage detailed capacity) to support the production plan

Publish material availability data for the S&OE horizon for material shortage prioritization

Analyze clear-to-build status to release, resequencing, and prioritize production orders

Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present key metrics to support leadership decision-making: on time starts, COGIs, Clear to Build, Exception Message management for make parts

Exception message processing for make-part STOs/internal WO

Responsible for managing nonstandard flow of materials such as pass-through shipments, shop overload parts, outside processing, etc.

What You Will Learn

The Production Planner is responsible for managing all activities to enable the creation and release of production work orders planned to start within a 90-day horizon, and the delivery of finished goods based on strategy (order start to finish). This role plays a key part in daily and short-term production planning, detailed scheduling, and coordinating across various departments to ensure schedule adherence, material availability, and capacity alignment. They will proactively manage exceptions, to ensure seamless production execution and customer delivery performance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• •Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• •Experience in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) for production planning and materials management.
• •Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
