At Amazon, customer success drives our mission. The Production Planning Team optimizes capacity across Fulfillment Centers through innovative solutions planning. We seek diverse perspectives and experiences to strengthen our global operations and customer experience.
This role requires expertise to develop network-wide strategies and drive operational excellence. Collaborate with multiple business teams including FC operations, HR, finance , supply chain, transportation, work force staffing and others.
- Key job responsibilities
- * Develop and execute short/medium/long-term operational plans to optimize staffing costs.
- * Supporting with warehouse staffing/capacity metrics forecasting using statistical modeling to drive a collaborative decision-making
- * Responsible for warehouse processing capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; focus on understanding data deviations, their root causes, and driving forward-looking opportunities
- * Analyze capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and be able to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- * Collaborate with global teams across Europe.
- * Support Production planning and cost optimization initiatives
Basic qualifications
- - Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- - Experience defining and executing program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
Preferred qualifications
- - Experience with operations/supply chain
- - Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation and logistics, or fulfillment and distribution centers
- - Experience ability to understand and devise new models that work
