Job Description

As a Trainee – Machine Shop, you will support daily shopfloor operations and learn core manufacturing processes. You will work closely with the production team under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in machine operations, quality checks, and safety practices.

This is an onsite role based in Kancheepuram, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Your Responsibilities:

• •Support day-to-day machine shop operations
• •Operate and support machines such as punching, drilling, tapping, and powder coating
• •Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and follow safety guidelines
• •Support production targets related to quality and productivity
• •Support basic machine setup, measurement, and inspection activities
• •Maintain housekeeping standards and follow 5S practices in the work area
• •Learn and improve technical and operational skills under supervision

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• •Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any degree (with willingness to work in machine shop)
• •Basic understanding of mechanical concepts
• •Willingness to work in a shopfloor/production environment
• •Ability to work in shifts, if required

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• •0–2 years of experience in manufacturing or machine shop environment
• •Exposure to conventional machining processes (drilling, tapping, punching, etc.)
• •Basic knowledge of measurement tools and inspection methods
