Project Manager - IT

Essential Functions:

• •Manage projects with varying size, scope, and complexity. Assist with managing complex, large-scale, or university-wide efforts.
• •Assist users with the creation of project requests.
• •Assist with defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with peers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• •Develop detailed project milestones, plans, timelines, and budgets.
• •Coordinate with IT department leaders, senior management, and external partners.
• •Assign tasks, monitor progress, and collaborate with managers who allocate project resources. Practice solid time management methods so that multiple projects can be accomplished simultaneously.
• •Identify and plan mitigation for project risks.
• •Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and post-mortem analyses/lessons learned. Create and maintain project-related artifacts, as needed.
• •Follow IT established processes and procedures.
• •Assist leadership to achieve project completion goals and objectives.
• •Assist with identifying and sharing obstacles, barriers or gaps and work to continuously improve organizational capability to deliver results. Practice solid problem-solving skills.
• •Practice strong communication skills with multiple levels of the organization.
• •Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Position Information:

Education:

Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.

Licenses/Certifications/Requirements:

Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience working within IT with an understanding of computer and enterprise systems. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects, preferably in a technology field, with evidence of increasing levels of responsibility and project complexity. Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively conduct presentations required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and stakeholders.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $77,000 annually, commensurate with experience .
