About the Role
The IQVIA Technologies Proposals Team plays a critical role in the global sales process across the IQVIA Technology Solutions portfolio. Acting as the bridge between Business Development, Operations, Delivery, and Strategic Pricing, the team is responsible for developing compelling, high-quality proposals and pricing solutions that help differentiate IQVIA in the marketplace and increase win rates.
We are seeking a Proposal Developer to lead the development and coordination of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and customer-facing proposal documentation for clients worldwide. This position will partner closely with Business Development, Solution Engineering, Contracts, Delivery, and Pricing teams to deliver customized, compliant, and competitive proposals that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development & Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pre-award opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
- Lead the development, coordination, and submission of RFIs, RFPs, and customer proposals across the IQVIA Technologies portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, review, and consolidate content required for customer responses.
- Ensure proposals, pricing, and supporting documentation are accurate, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements.
- Manage proposal timelines and deliver high-quality customer submissions within established deadlines.
- Conduct proposal quality reviews to ensure consistency, competitiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
Strategic Customer Support
- Manage and support assigned strategic customer accounts.
- Act as the internal proposal subject matter expert and key contact for Business Development, Contracts, Delivery, and Solution Engineering teams.
- Oversee all proposal-related requests for assigned customers and ensure timely execution.
- Participate in customer meetings, proposal reviews, and technology demonstrations when required.
- Support pricing strategy discussions by partnering with Strategic Pricing teams on budget grids, rate cards, discount strategies, and financial analyses.
Process Excellence & Compliance
- Maintain proposal documentation, templates, and related assets to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure CRM systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner following proposal submissions.
- Support adherence to established proposal, CRM, and business review processes.
- Maintain proposal repositories, including SharePoint and content management systems.
- Contribute new content and lessons learned to knowledge management databases for future proposal development.
- Conduct peer reviews and provide guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on proposal best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide proposal-related support and guidance to Contracts, Business Development, and other functional teams.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance proposal quality and operational efficiency.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, or a related field.
Required Experience
3 to 6 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Proposal Management Business Development Contracts Management Finance or Pricing Clinical Research Operations Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Technology Industry
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or clinical research industry.
- Understanding of the clinical trial process and phases of clinical development.
- Experience developing customer-facing proposals, RFIs, and RFP responses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to prepare, review, and interpret budgets, pricing models, and project scopes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong customer-focus and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Process improvement mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous enhancement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
