Seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Ansible to design, develop, and support infrastructure automation solutions. The role involves automating operational processes, configuration management, deployment activities, and improving efficiency across Open Systems environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Python and Ansible.

Build and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

Develop Python scripts for system administration, monitoring, reporting, and operational automation.

Automate deployment, patching, and server management activities across Open Systems environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve automation, infrastructure, and application issues.

Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to streamline operational processes.

Maintain automation standards, documentation, and best practices.

Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and related DevOps platforms.

Monitor automation jobs and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.

Ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements are incorporated into automation frameworks.

Technical requirements

Domain: Open Systems / Infrastructure Automation

Good understanding of Linux administration, networking concepts, and configuration management.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices is preferred.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in production support, automation, and transformation initiatives.

Bachelor of Engineering
