Summary

You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Inspection, Test, QA, and Training Division, Lifting and Handling Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

  • You will make recommendations and/or establish changed to maintenance procedures as needed.
  • You will follow basic accepted engineering practices or directions from provided by senior engineers.
  • You will be responsible for the control of crane and railroad track outages.
  • You will maintain data bases associated with crane maintenance work such as: work documents and tagging databases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 or GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision, such as: 1. Weight handling and lifiting. 2. Write concise technical procedures, instructions, and standards. 3. Prepare training aids.
