At DeWys Manufacturing, quality is built into the work we do every day. We’re looking for a Quality Auditor who can spot issues early, help operators understand requirements, and partner with Production to get parts right the first time.

In this hands-on role, you’ll move throughout the production floor performing inspections and process audits. You’ll be a resource to operators and supervisors, helping prevent defects before products reach the next operation or our customers.

What You’ll Do

• •Perform first-piece, last-piece, and in-process inspections to verify parts meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• •Inspect critical dimensions, welds, hole locations, finishes, and other required features using appropriate measuring tools and gauges.
• •Conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits to verify that production teams are following drawings, work instructions, inspection requirements, and quality procedures.
• •Record inspection results accurately and communicate findings to operators, supervisors, and the Quality team.
• •Identify and document nonconforming product, help ensure it is properly contained, and reinspect reworked parts as needed.
• •Provide hands-on guidance to operators on drawings, tolerances, inspection methods, and customer-specific quality requirements.
• •Help identify recurring issues and training needs, and participate in corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
• •Support accurate quality records and the requirements of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

What You’ll Bring

• •A high school diploma or equivalent.
• •The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and technical instructions.
• •Experience using precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• •Strong attention to detail and the confidence to speak up when something does not meet requirements.
• •Clear communication skills and a helpful, respectful approach to working with production teams.
• •Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Previous quality inspection experience, sheet metal fabrication experience, or familiarity with ISO 9001 is preferred.

Position type: Full-time, hourly

This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment and involves standing and walking for extended periods, using inspection equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. The essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
