JOB TITLE: Quality Control Technician I

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Technician supports our expanding production. A focus on reducing cost, improving manufacturability, quality, and decreasing cycle times.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• •At least 1 year of experience working in quality
• •At least 1 year of experience utilizing MS Office to prepare spreadsheets and inspection reports

PREFERRED SKILLS

• •Functional understanding of ISO9001/AS9100
• •Enthusiastic, energetic, sense of urgency, with a track record of setting goals and achieving them
• •Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• •Ability to lift 50 pounds
• •Ability to utilize other inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, dial calipers, and CMMs

CORE DUTIES

• •Perform precision inspection/verification on machined parts, components, assemblies, and materials
• •First Article inspection, in process, and final inspection of parts and materials for workmanship, and conformance to specifications and drawings
• •Record and report inspection process and results
• •Communicate with machine operators & supervisors to resolve inspection, engineering, and manufacturing challenges
• •Help to determine inspection procedures to ensure complete verification of specifications and dimensions
• •Interpret blueprints and all relevant specification sheets necessary to verify conformity
• •Obtain necessary fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check machine parts for compliance with specifications and prescribed tolerances
• •Other duties as assigned

HOURS

• •1st shift position
• •Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
